Having a brain that’s exceptionally good at pattern recognition and the ability to follow threads of consequence down many paths is both a blessing and a curse. The curse is that people accuse you of catastrophizing and continue down the path you can clearly see has a disastrous end. Then what you said would happen, happens. And afterwards they shake their heads and wonder how we let it happen.
